Nissanka's hundred seals Sri Lanka's swift run past Australia in T20 World Cup

Pathum Nissanka hit an unbeaten 100 off 52 balls to guide Sri Lanka to an eight-wicket win over Australia in the T20 World Cup group stage in Pallekele, chasing 182 after Australia were bowled out for 181; Kusal Mendis added 51 as Sri Lanka chased in 18 overs. Nissanka also took a memorable catch to dismiss Glenn Maxwell, and Australia’s hopes of reaching the Super 8 are now on a knife-edge with injuries to Cummins, Hazlewood and Starc and Zimbabwe–Ireland results to come.
