The game features a storyline mode involving eight Negro League legends, with short videos about the players and gameplay focused on the epic moments of their careers. The inclusion of the Negro League players is a multi-year partnership between the game's developers and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, aimed at creating relevancy and keeping the legacy alive for the Negro Leagues.
