Minnesota advances to national championship game in Frozen Four.

Minnesota defeated Boston University 6-2 in the Frozen Four semifinal of the NCAA Tournament. Luke Mittelstadt, a freshman defenseman for Minnesota, scored his first multi-goal game and game-winning goal, and was named first star of the game. Boston University lost for the first time this season after scoring first in a game. Minnesota has taken the lead all time in games against Boston University with a head-to-head record of 13-12-2 since their series began in 1963. Minnesota is now 15-3-0 when taking fewer penalties than their opponents.
