Michigan State loses starting QB and top WR to transfer portal.

Michigan State's quarterback Payton Thorne, wide receiver Keon Coleman, and cornerback Charles Brantley have entered the transfer portal. Thorne, who started 26 games and threw 49 touchdown passes, was in a three-way quarterback battle, while Coleman led Michigan State last season with 58 receptions, 798 receiving yards, and seven touchdown catches. Brantley played in 19 career games, including 12 career starts, and has 10 pass breakups along with a pair of interceptions. Their departures are a significant blow to the Michigan State offense and defense, leaving the team with more questions heading into the summer.
