Hurricanes' Teravainen Out with Broken Hand for First Round.

Carolina Hurricanes forward Teuvo Teravainen will miss the rest of the first round of the NHL playoffs after breaking his hand in Game 2 against the New York Islanders. Teravainen's absence adds to the Hurricanes' injury woes, as they have already lost Max Pacioretty and Andrei Svechnikov for the season. The Hurricanes will need to find a way to replace Teravainen's contributions on both the penalty kill and power play, as well as his versatility on the wing. Possible replacements include Jack Drury, Jesse Puljujarvi, and Paul Stastny. Seth Jarvis and Martin Necas could also see increased roles on the top line.
