Derrick Rose Joins Memphis Grizzlies in Two-Year Deal

Free agent point guard Derrick Rose plans to sign a two-year, fully guaranteed minimum-salary contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. Despite battling injuries and struggling with the New York Knicks last season, the Grizzlies believe the 34-year-old can still contribute on the court and provide leadership in the locker room. Rose will join recently acquired guard Marcus Smart in reshaping the Grizzlies' backcourt, as they prepare to start the season without star point guard Ja Morant. The team still has flexibility to make trades or use the mid-level exception.
