Coyotes Expanding Arena Options in Arizona, Focusing on East Valley Corridor

The Arizona Coyotes are focusing on the Loop 101 corridor in the East Valley as the primary target for a new arena location. Coyotes President/CEO Xavier Gutierrez mentioned that they have over a dozen potential sites and expect to make an announcement by early 2024. The team wants to avoid another public referendum after a proposed arena in Tempe was voted down in May. Gutierrez emphasized the importance of having multiple solutions and using the same plans from the Tempe arena site. The team's decision is driven by the majority of their fans coming from the East Valley and the area's residential and business growth.
