Controversy Surrounds Alabama Basketball Player's Involvement in Fatal Shooting

The New York Times is standing by its report that Alabama basketball player Kai Spears was present at a fatal shooting in January, despite denials from Spears and the university. Video surveillance allegedly showed Spears in a car with SEC player Brandon Miller, who was previously linked to the shooting. Spears has called the report "100% inaccurate," while Alabama's athletic director and Spears' father have also disputed the report. The only other players on the scene, aside from the alleged shooter, were Miller and Jaden Bradley.
