Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval announced the Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs will face each other in a rematch on New Year's Eve in Week 17 this year, but wisely avoided trash talk after his previous attempt backfired in the 2023 AFC championship game. Pureval had issued an official mayoral proclamation requesting Joe Burrow take a paternity test to confirm if he is Patrick Mahomes' father, which did not go over well with the Chiefs and their fans. The Chiefs went on to win the game, and Pureval took the pounding with class.
