Chicharito injured in LA Galaxy's U.S. Open Cup loss to Real Salt Lake.

The Los Angeles Galaxy lost 3-2 to Real Salt Lake in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals, but the bigger concern was team captain Javier "Chicharito" Hernández being stretchered off the field with a right knee injury in the first half. The severity of the injury is unknown, but the team is hoping it's not serious. Hernández is the team's leading scorer and is in the final year of his contract, making $7.4 million this season. The Galaxy have struggled this season, with a 5-10-3 record in all competitions and sitting last in the MLS standings.
