Astros suffer bullpen meltdown in opening day loss to White Sox.

The Chicago White Sox defeated the Houston Astros 3-2 in their season opener, thanks to a two-run double by Andrew Vaughn in the ninth inning. The White Sox out-chanced the Astros and were able to overcome their struggles with runners in scoring position. Dylan Cease pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing just one run on two hits and striking out 10. The game was tied at 1 in the seventh inning when a wild pitch by Aaron Bummer allowed the Astros to take the lead, but Yasmani Grandal tied it up with a solo home run in the eighth.
