The accuser of former Buffalo Bills punter Matt Araiza has dropped her lawsuit against him, months after he was cleared of wrongdoing. The woman had accused Araiza of raping her at a party near his alma mater, San Diego State University, in 2021. However, prosecutors and the school determined that the actions between the two were consensual. Araiza's attorney expressed relief at the dismissal of the lawsuit and stated that his client plans to return to the NFL. Araiza also intends to sue the accuser's lawyer for defamation.
