"2024 Baseball Hall of Fame Inductees and Vote Results"

Third baseman Adrián Beltré, catcher Joe Mauer, and first baseman Todd Helton have been elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Beltré, known for his 3,166 hits and 477 home runs, was named on 95.1 percent of the ballots in his first year of eligibility. Mauer, a homegrown star with the Minnesota Twins, earned the honor of being the first player born in the 1980s to be elected. Helton, who played 17 seasons with the Colorado Rockies, overcame skepticism of his elite offensive numbers due to playing at Coors Field. They will be honored in Cooperstown, N.Y. on July 21.
