Elon Musk's Twitter Verification Controversy Continues with Celebrities and Trolls Alike

Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, Tesla, and SpaceX, is personally paying for Twitter Blue subscriptions on behalf of high-profile accounts, including LeBron James, William Shatner, and Stephen King, who had previously complained about the subscription service. It is unclear whether other verified accounts, including Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Britney Spears, are also paying for Twitter Blue or if Twitter is waiving the fees. Musk's move comes after Twitter's mass revocation of thousands of "legacy" verified blue check-marks, which he had promised to do to purge the "corrupt" system.
