Tony Stewart Takes Over NHRA Top Fuel Dragster as Leah Pruett Steps Aside to Start Family

Leah Pruett, a 12-time NHRA Top Fuel event winner, is stepping aside from racing in 2024 to focus on starting a family with husband Tony Stewart. Stewart, a versatile racer with championships in NASCAR, IndyCar, and USAC, will replace Pruett as the Top Fuel driver for Tony Stewart Racing. Pruett will continue to be involved in the team and assist with technical projects. Stewart is honored to fill in for his wife and is looking forward to the challenge of racing in the highly competitive Top Fuel class.
