IndyCar's Top Team Faces Potential Loss of Standout 2023 Drivers

Chip Ganassi Racing's top drivers, Alex Palou and Marcus Ericsson, may both leave the team for the 2024 season. Palou is rumored to have a McLaren deal in his pocket, which would give him a chance to pursue Formula 1 while still driving for McLaren's IndyCar team. Ericsson, on the other hand, is seeking a higher salary and wants to be treated as a top driver. If both drivers leave, Ganassi may trim back to three cars and consider promoting drivers from within or signing other talented drivers.
