Rolex has released a special version of the Daytona watch in honor of the 100th year of the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. The white gold model features a reverse panda dial, a black ceramic tachymeter scale with a red "100" indication, and a new movement, the caliber 4132, which can measure up to 24 hours. The watch is priced at $51,400 and pays homage to Rolex's history in endurance racing and the cultural significance of the Daytona as a modern motorsports chronograph. The watch was attracting a huge line at the race, with only a few people allowed to see it at a time.
