"US Olympic Marathon Trials: Orlando Road Closures and Diverse Participation"

Orlando is preparing for the U.S. Olympic Team Marathon Trials with road closures and transportation impacts in downtown on Saturday, Feb. 3. Roadways will be fully closed for the 2.2-mile race loop from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m., and for the 8-mile race loop from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. State Road 408 downtown exits and entrances will be closed from Lake Underhill Road to Orange Avenue during the same hours. Pedestrian access will be limited during the event, with specific crossings open until 9 a.m. and expected to reopen at approximately 2 p.m. A dedicated website, email, and hotline have been established to provide information and address questions related to transportation plans.
