Two former University at Buffalo football players, Blake Hiligh and Zach Pilarcek, have been arraigned on charges of animal cruelty after a video surfaced on social media showing them allegedly beating a male miniature poodle named Kobe with a leather belt. The players were dismissed from the football team, but remain enrolled at the university. If convicted, they could face up to one year in jail.
