"R.I. Man Pleads Not Guilty in Gillette Stadium Fan's Death Case"

John Vieira, one of two men charged in connection with the death of a New England Patriots fan at a game, pleaded not guilty to assault and battery. The victim, Dale Mooney, was struck during an altercation and later pronounced dead at a hospital. The medical examiner's office ruled Mooney's death a homicide, citing probable cardiac dysrhythmia in a person with severe cardiovascular disease during a physical altercation.
