Multiple Basketball Coaches Arrested for Assaulting Referees During Tournaments

Laquita Carter, a girls basketball coach from Cincinnati, has been arrested on felony charges of criminal confinement and battery after a fight broke out during a tournament at Triton Central High School in Shelby County. Carter allegedly pinned a referee's arms while her son struck the referee in the face, and then tackled and repeatedly struck the referee while players joined in with punches and kicks. The incident was caught on camera, and another official was also assaulted. The investigation is ongoing, and juvenile players are being sought for their involvement. Additionally, several monitors were stolen during the tournament.
