Ex-NFL star Kevin Johnson found dead at LA encampment; autopsy rules homicide

Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Kevin Johnson, 55, was found unconscious at a Los Angeles homeless encampment and died from blunt head trauma and stab wounds, with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner ruling the death a homicide. Johnson, who played for the Patriots, Vikings, Raiders and Eagles (with 43 tackles and seven sacks in two seasons for Philadelphia), had reportedly been living at the encampment and had health issues later in life. The death is under investigation.
