"Charges Filed in Fatal Altercation at Gillette Stadium: Two Men Accused in Patriots Fan's Death"

Two Rhode Island men have been charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct in the death of Dale Mooney, a lifelong New England Patriots fan who died after an altercation at Gillette Stadium in September. The cause of death was ruled as "Probable cardiac dysrhythmia in a person with severe hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease during a physical altercation." The district attorney's office stated that the evidence did not establish a basis for criminal prosecution of charges related to homicide. The men are scheduled to be arraigned next month.
