Comcast Spectacor has unveiled a $2.5 billion master plan to transform part of the South Philly sports complex into a year-round destination, featuring new retail and restaurants, a music venue, a hotel, office buildings, and residential housing. The first phase, a $700 million investment, will include upgrades to Xfinity Live!, a hotel, a concert venue, and more, with construction expected to start soon and finish by 2028. While the second phase is aspirational, the plan also leaves room for a new arena, as the Wells Fargo Center will eventually need to be replaced.
