Turkish forces eliminate ISIS leader in Syria raid.

Abu al-Hussein al-Qurashi, the top leader of ISIS, has been killed in a Turkish operation in northern Syria. The operation was carried out by Turkish forces who stormed a house in a village near Jindires, where al-Qurashi refused to surrender and blew himself up with explosives strapped to his body. ISIS occupied roughly one-third of Syria and Iraq at its peak in 2014, setting off a major humanitarian crisis, but its so-called caliphate has all but disappeared.
