Mexico rocked by cartel violence after El Mencho killed in raid

Mexican security forces killed Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, known as El Mencho, in a raid that triggered a wave of cartel violence across about 20 states. Roads were blocked, vehicles torched, and clashes with troops left dozens dead, including both security forces and cartel members; Guadalajara and other major cities shut down and travel advisories were issued.
