"Aaron Bushnell: The Tragic Self-Immolation of a US Airman"

Aaron Bushnell, an active-duty member of the U.S. Air Force, died after setting himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., while shouting "free Palestine." He was identified as a cyber defense operations specialist from Whitman, Massachusetts, and had previously attended Nauset Public Schools. The 25-year-old livestreamed the incident on Twitch, expressing his protest against what he called an act of genocide against the Palestinian people. Bushnell was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to his injuries. No embassy staff were injured, and no hazardous materials were found in a suspicious vehicle at the scene.
