"405 Freeway Closed Due to Mudslides"

Mudslides caused by torrential downpours shut down portions of the 405 Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass and Long Beach areas, leading to traffic delays and road closures. Caltrans crews worked to clear the mud from the freeway, with one lane closed near the Getty Center and about five feet of mud blocking the southbound side in the Long Beach area.
