Maine's Skowhegan Indian: Weather Damage and Crime Scene Tape

The Skowhegan Indian, a 62-foot wooden sculpture in Maine, has been surrounded by crime scene tape after sustaining damage from wild weather and a windstorm, losing part of its face and arm as well as a spear. The sculpture, depicting a Wabanaki fisherman, was completed in 1969 and is a local icon. The community is now seeking funding for its restoration, as it remains a significant symbol in the area.
