ICE to Release Minnesota Fourth-Grader as Columbia Heights Detention Cases Persist

Federal authorities are set to release Elizabeth Zuna, a Columbia Heights fourth-grader, who, with her mother, was detained by ICE on Jan. 6 and held at the Dilley processing center in Texas. Her release would leave three Columbia Heights students still in federal custody as other families remain affected, amid a measles quarantine at the facility and ongoing tensions around ICE's presence in the district. The case follows the earlier release of Liam Conejo Ramos and his father, who were freed after a federal judge ordered it.
