San Diego Deputy Arrested for DUI and Breaching Military Base Gate

A San Diego County Sheriff's deputy, identified as Sgt. Michael Cruz, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he drove through the main gate of Naval Base Coronado without stopping. The incident caused the base to go on lockdown. Cruz was off-duty at the time of the incident and has been placed on administrative leave while the incident is being investigated by the Coronado Police Department and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
