Police officers capture 9-foot alligator roaming Tampa streets.

Tampa police officers were called to a commercial area to deal with a 9-foot alligator roaming down the street. The officers fashioned a noose from a yellow rope and lassoed it around the top of the gator's mouth before taping its mouth and legs together "like you're handcuffing him." The gator was then taken by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to "find a more suitable home." An alligator trapper contracted with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Nuisance Alligator Program praised the job done by the officers before he arrived at the scene.
