Iowa High School Principal Dies After Shielding Students in Shooting

Iowa high school principal Dan Marburger, who was critically wounded while trying to protect students during a shooting at Perry High School, has died. The governor praised Marburger for his heroic actions, stating that he "courageously put himself in harm's way to protect his students." The shooter, a 17-year-old student, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Flags at the State Capitol Building in Iowa will be lowered to half-staff in honor of Marburger.
