Houston Deputies Mistakenly Shoot Woman in Friend's Home, Bodycam Video Reveals

Harris County sheriff's deputies in Houston shot Eboni Pouncy inside her friend's apartment after responding to a report of a break-in, firing repeatedly through the window. Pouncy and her friend had broken a window to enter the apartment after forgetting the key, and when deputies arrived and pounded on the door, Pouncy, fearing an intruder, picked up her legally registered firearm and was struck by five bullets. Body camera footage shows the deputies firing through the glass windows. Pouncy was taken to the hospital for treatment and is recovering, while the incident is under investigation.
