Carowinds amusement park in North Carolina has closed its Fury 325 roller coaster after discovering a crack in a support pillar. The park, which straddles the North and South Carolina state lines, stated that the ride will remain closed until inspections and repairs are completed. The Fury 325 is one of the tallest and longest roller coasters in the park, reaching a peak height of 325 feet and speeds of 95 mph. The rest of the park remains open, and Carowinds emphasized that safety is their top priority.
