Tanker carrying hot tar causes highway closure in Upstate South Carolina.

A highway in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, has been shut down after a tanker carrying hot tar overturned and spilled its contents. The area affected is near the QuikTrip and I-26 in Inman, and will remain closed until further notice. HazMat 94 and North Spartanburg Fire Department are on the scene with a cleanup contractor en route. The tar spill presents no danger to the public but inhibits travel until removed.
