Multiple Semi-Truck Crashes Cause Chaos on Dan Ryan Expressway

Two lanes of the Chinatown feeder ramp on the northbound Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago were closed after a semitrailer crashed into a wall, causing chunks of concrete to fall onto the roadway. The truck hit the right concrete median barrier, causing part of the wall to collapse onto the feeder ramp, and then hit the left median concrete barrier, resulting in a diesel fuel leak. The Illinois Department of Transportation is repairing the wall and removing the concrete, and no injuries were reported. The two right lanes of the ramp will remain blocked until the wall is repaired.
