I-465 Eastbound Set to Reopen Thursday, Westbound Lanes to Close Soon

The first phase of construction on I-465 in Indianapolis is almost complete, with the interstate set to reopen on time. The eastbound lanes will be ready for rush hour on Thursday morning, while the westbound lanes will close between July 7 and July 29 for similar work. The closure will allow crews to operate safely without worrying about oncoming traffic. The official detour is I-65 northbound to I-70 westbound in the South Split. The work is part of the "I-69 Finish Line Project" to connect Indianapolis to Evansville.
