Tragic Accident Claims Juvenile's Life in Birmingham

A juvenile, identified as Demario Kirkland, was struck and killed by a vehicle in Birmingham on Sunday afternoon. Kirkland, a 5th grader at Oxmoor Valley Elementary School, was hit in the 3200 block of Jefferson Avenue. The vehicle involved remained at the scene, and the accident is currently under investigation by the Birmingham police department.
