Utah ice climber dies heroically saving friend from falling ice.

Meg O'Neill, an ice climber in Utah, sacrificed her life to save her climbing companion after a frozen waterfall they were climbing collapsed. O'Neill pushed her companion out of the way of the falling column, which probably saved her life. O'Neill's body was later found trapped under two blocks of ice. She was the Assistant Director for Embark Outdoors, a nonprofit facilitating outdoor sports and education for refugee women and girls. O'Neill was remembered as a community leader and a champion for every woman and girl in the outdoors.
