Tragic Sledding Accident Claims Lives of Two Illinois High School Students at Copper Mountain.

Two high school seniors from Illinois died in a sledding accident at Copper Mountain Ski Resort in Colorado. The students were on a spring break vacation and reportedly rode tandem down the half pipe and launched off a large snowbank at the bottom of the half pipe. Despite immediate medical attention, the individuals could not be revived and were pronounced deceased on the scene. The teenagers were star athletes at Prairie Central High School in Fairbury, Illinois.
