Tragic Ship Fire Claims Lives of Two Newark Firefighters

Two firefighters were killed and several others injured while battling a fire on a cargo ship at Port Newark in New Jersey. The fire started on the 10th deck and spread to the 11th and 12th floors, engulfing five to seven cars. The firefighters became trapped inside the ship and were later pronounced dead. The ship was carrying around 5,000 vehicles, but no electric cars or hazardous cargo. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and an investigation will be conducted.
