Tragic Loss: Firefighter Fatally Injured Battling Blazes

Thomas Petschke Jr., a 53-year-old Ballardsville firefighter in Oldham County, Kentucky, died in the line of duty while battling a structure fire. He experienced a medical emergency at the scene, and despite immediate medical attention, he did not survive. Petschke served for nine and a half years and is survived by his wife and two children.
