Tragic Loss: Bowie High School Band Member Collapses and Dies at Football Game

A 17-year-old member of the Bowie High School marching band, Daniel Esparza, has died after collapsing during a football game. Esparza, who was the appointed drum major and a member of the ROTC program, received CPR and defibrillation on the field before being taken to the hospital. The cause of death has not been released. The school district is providing support to the family and the Bowie High School community during this difficult time.
