Tragic Ice Accident Claims Boy's Life, Injures Girl in Albany Park

A 12-year-old boy has died and an 11-year-old girl is critically injured after falling through ice at Washington Square Park in Albany, New York. The incident occurred when the boy attempted to walk toward the lake house and the girl tried to help him. The boy's body was recovered by the New York State Police underwater recovery team, while the girl was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital. Both children were students at North Albany Middle School, and the school community is mourning the loss.
