Tragic Horse Riding Accident Claims Life of Teen Equestrian Star in Florida

A 15-year-old girl named Hannah Serfass died after her horse fell on top of her during a hunter/jumper event at Fox Lea Farms in Venice, Florida. Serfass was about halfway through the course when the horse planted its left front hoof for an unknown reason, causing the horse to lean down significantly. The action caused Serfass to fall off the horse and onto the ground, and the horse continued to fall in the same direction and fell onto the rider’s head. Despite first aid efforts, Serfass later died at the hospital.
