Tragic End: Missing Eau Claire Man Found Dead in Chippewa River

Justin Vue, a 26-year-old UWEC alumni, who went missing while tubing and swimming in the Chippewa River, has been found dead. The Eau Claire Fire Department conducted a search utilizing various resources and volunteers, ultimately locating Vue's body in the river. The incident occurred when Vue was snorkeling and swimming away from his group, and despite the efforts of multiple agencies, he was unable to be rescued.
