Tragic Drowning of Father and 10-Year-Old Daughter Caught in Rip Currents.

A 10-year-old girl and her father drowned after being swept offshore by a rip current at Pass-a-Grille beach in Florida. The father was with his three daughters and his oldest daughter's boyfriend when they noticed the current getting stronger. The boyfriend helped the oldest daughter out of the water but returned to rescue the father and 10-year-old daughter, who were too far from shore. The US Coast Guard and St. Pete Fire Rescue rescued them and took them to the hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
