Tragic Discovery: Body of Missing 7-Year-Old Autistic Girl Found in River

The body of a 7-year-old girl with autism, who was nonverbal, was recovered from the Merrimack River in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, a day after she was reported missing. The girl, identified as Anna, was found near the Trull Brook Golf Club, about a mile and a half from where investigators believe she entered the water. There is no indication of foul play, and it appears to be a tragic accident. A positive identification and cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.
