Tragic Boating Accident Claims Life of 6-Year-Old Girl at Lake Pleasant

A 6-year-old girl in Arizona died after being accidentally struck by a boat propeller on Lake Pleasant. The girl's mother, who was operating the boat, was unaware that the child was in the water when she started driving. The father, who was wakeboarding, noticed someone in the water and discovered it was his own daughter, whose leg had been amputated by the propeller. Despite immediate aid from authorities, the child was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Impairment does not appear to be a factor, and all occupants of the boat were wearing life vests.
